Correct Dream Interpretation is Always Individually Based
A Brief Introduction to Interpreting Your Own Dreams
For example:
This dream is fairly straight forward, and simple in what was happening for me.
I dreamed someone was teaching me first to drive a bus, and then after that a motor rail train. In the bus, I went around a corner in second gear, a bit too slowly, but I made it, and then I stopped at my old primary school, that I went to as a young boy. The instructor told me to put the bus into neutral, while I was stopped.
The dream images then shifted, and I'm now driving the train, and I am given a heavy bar, or point-stick to carry between the stations. Someone rings me up from work, and reminds me that he wanted me to bring him some lemons from my Mum's house. I've forgotten to pick them up. The train is going to Maryborough from Ballarat, like in my youth, a journey I had made as a passenger, with my family many times before.
Then, in the morning, within my journal, I ask my higher self for the dream meaning, and it comes to me in the third person something like this:
''Meaning only ever comes from meaning. This simply means that if you had a meaning for the symbolic representation of trains before in your youth, it has the same meaning now for you, in your dream. This means that if you liked trains before, well you are liking to go on a journey now in your life, but that you want to drive, and not carry someone's lemons for them. You want to be in charge, and to carry your own pointing-stick, so you have right of way in your life. This is the meaning. You have the choice of sticking to this pattern, or choosing to review how you operate. All life is like this. We need to use love to discriminate between the choices.''
Here is another of my dreams, and which is a lot more involved, and complicated. The meaning I obtained was also much deeper, and more meaningful for me.
I dreamed that I was in a largish room walking backwards, and forwards repeatedly, but I am floating off the floor with my head touching the ceiling of the room while doing this. My brother is with me in the room, and he wonders how I can do that. He is walking too, pacing alongside of me, but still down on the floor.
I then dreamed that I was in a large house with lots of people.
I went out into a long corridor to practice flying. Two people are there named, Chris and Robyn. I seemed to know their names, but I had never in fact met them before. I can't seem to fly very high, and I am hovering just off the ground level. I then go outside, and I run along the top of a long stone wall, and I then jump off the end, and fly higher than the light posts, and the electricity wires.
In my dream I then see some ducks on the ground, and I think to myself, why I can go even much higher than this still, just as high as the ducks can fly. And so then I do go higher still, and soaring off into the clouds.
I asked myself this question in the morning. Do dreams with similar themes always mean the same thing, or can they have different meanings at different times, and in different contexts?
Here is the reply to me from my journal.
''Dreams of flying, or flying in dreams, can be a sign that you want to escape to the higher worlds, because you are not happy in this world. This is partly the case with you, but also you just feel happier when you are in contact with, and can reach into these higher worlds. These dreams are showing you, that you don't need to ever restrict yourself, but that you can indeed fly higher in consciousness, and soar in mind to the higher planes. What brings you back down to earth, should be your love for your fellow souls, or your loved ones.''
''Love is the great balancer, and leveller, and love will always try to bring you back to an even keel, when you are becoming flighty, and spaced out, by trying to reach to heights that are too high for you, and when you only think that you are ready for them now, but when in fact you are not really ready.''
''In reality every step upwards has to be accompanied by a step forward in feeling, and giving, and knowing love. If love doesn't accompany you in every step, you are likely to think you are walking alone in your own boots. Whereas really, you should always be also wearing the socks of love to cushion your steps, and to provide comfort, and love in your journey.''
''Go forward, but only with love going with you. Don't leave love behind to try to catch up, as it might catch up by stopping you in some way, and so that it can then really catch up to you in earnest. And you might be surprised then, at how love will then renter your life. Love always will find a way to find a way back into your life.''
And finally here is a very simple fragment of a dream, I recalled, but one in which I found quiet a lot of extended meaning as well.
I only remembered dreaming about some kids involved in a "non sleeping" attempted record breaking event. They had gone 76 hours without sleep, and were mostly playing video games, while doing this.
Again in the morning I recorded this fragment of dream into my dream journal, and I asked myself this question.
What is the significance of me remembering this tiny bit of a dream?
Here again, is the answer I got from my higher self, written to me in the third person.
''Dreams such as this are like the tip of an iceberg. The 76 shows you the year in your own life when you transitioned, and were asleep, during those 2 years at University. (I dropped out of University, after two years studying there). They were wasted scholarly, but they allowed you to develop a mindset, that has never left you. You think that study itself is a waste of time. Well learning is an aspect of love. Life is for learning. How can you change your attitude, and opinion? Well, only you can? And only love can do it for you.''
''As I have said to you before, try and become an expert in something, and learn all that you can about it. This focusing on one area, will also focus the love in you in this direction, for you then as well, and so you will then begin to love what you do. And the love will go into it, and the love will be seen in everything else that you do as a result of this simple step of focussed concentrated learning in the one area, and which aligns yourself with your purpose, and journey, and connects you to the love inherent in you, your journey, and in all life.''
''Soul is a focus point for love, and when you burn with the intensity of focused love, you will be God realised, and enlightened by the very love in you focusing, and burning brightly in you, and for you, and for all other souls, and all life also reflecting, and basking in the intensity of the love, you now give out.''
In conclusion then, what can we learn from our dreams? What is the meaning behind us having our dreams? Are lessons being sent to us in our dreams, or not?
Dreams are a sort of classroom for our soul.
Our soul attends every night, and it is more important for your soul to be establishing connection with you in your dreams like this, than even from you being able to discern the meaning of the dream. The real meaning might not always come through right away to you. Dreams are taking place for your soul, to allow it to integrate the experiences that you as the human have been experiencing in your physical life, or your earthly life.
Your soul was observing all of these even as you experienced them, but in your dreams it actually participates, and it connects to all of these past experiences by now showing you aspects of them, and the lessons in them for you, that you never found at the time from the real life experience.
But dreams do far more than just to revisit your past experiences.
They cover all of your soul's journey right from its very beginning, and they will help you as the human to understand your real journey as your higher self, soul, and so allow you to cooperate with the real you, by establishing this linkage through your dreams to you now. Meaning in dreams brings meaning to you, and this re-connects you to the greater meaning of life, and of you as soul, and of your part in this journey, and of your connection to God, and to his creation.
Dreams can allow you to contact your higher self, when you record them like I do, and as you can see my higher self certainly provided me with some meaningful answers.
What is a vital clue to interpreting our dreams and bringing as to value them enough or to trust in them?
Dreams bring a degree of peace from within the shallower waters of your soul. The deepness is only revealed from your later interpretation. Interpretation always links the shallow to the deep, as the truth is revealed in moving from the simple to the more complex.
Love links you to life because you love, not because you are trying to decipher for yourself what love might actually be. And so with dreams, just look at the dream and feel the real meaning rather than waste too much time trying to decipher any hidden keys, symbols and other meanings. Allow your higher self to explain simply what it is about, and then trust the answers as I have tried to show you how to do for yourself here.
Our dreams are all necessary, as they reveal to us our true characteristics. Dreams are the answers to our questions, but also give remind us where the questions have arisen from. Our soul is with us within our dreams, and writing to us through these pictures. Our soul is trying to illustrate our way of life, and how we are currently handling it to us through our dreams.
