Hayswood Theatre, in Corydon, Indiana presents Louisa May Alcott's LITTLE WOMEN this Holiday Season. The quintessential American family story, LITTLE WOMEN captures readers' hearts right from the start. Set during the Civil War era in New England, the play opens with the four sisters, Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy lamenting the dismal Christmas they are to have since their father is away at war. The story of the four March sisters which was originally written in 1868 by Louisa May Alcott opened at the Hayswood Theatre Friday, November 26th and runs Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through December 12th.

First-time director Jen Anderson brings the story of the March sisters to life by taking the audience on a heart felt journey through the trials and tribulations of the March family and their neighbors, the Lawrences, as they make their way through life, love, and loss. Cast as the March sisters are Sloane Pursell as Meg, Elizabeth Anderson as Jo, Jessie Pursell as Beth, Hailey Turner as the older Amy and Emma Dayvault as the younger Amy. Kevin Bauman, Dana Taylor, Charley Swarens, Liz Swarens, Eric Anderson and Allen Pursell round out the main cast as Laurie, Marmee, Mr. Lawrence, Aunt March, John Brooke and Mr. March respectively.

Tickets are now on sale through the Harrison County Convention and Visitors Bureau and can be obtained by calling 812.738.2138 or (toll-free) 888.738.2137 from 9am - 5pm. Monday through Saturday and Sundays from 12-5pm. LITTLE WOMEN runs November 26th - December 12th, with performances on Friday and Saturday at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm (except December 12th is at 5pm. Tickets are only $12.00 for adults and $10.00 for students and seniors. Hayswood Theatre is located on the square in downtown historic Corydon, Indiana at 115 Capitol Ave. Corydon, Indiana is about a 2 hour drive from Indianapolis.
