Cosa Nostra: The Fashion Label from Project Runway Winner Jeffrey Sebelia

Fashion designer from California and winner of Project Runway Jeffrey Sebelia, 36, continues to produce edgy, rock-styled fashion with his his own label, Cosa Nostra.

I knew that Jeffrey would be Project Runway's winner when he won the design challenge with his famous yellow plaid dress that showed he has pure raw talent. I imagined Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz hopping down the yellow brick road when this gorgeous dress floated down the runway. Jeffrey showed that he was not just a fashion designer, but a true artist bringing his work to life.

Jeffrey Sebelia was the best choice for Project Runway's top fashion designer. His passion for rock and fashion shows through each of his designs. From one design to the next, Jeffery continues to put his heart into what he loves, and this is what makes him such a talented fashion designer. What inspires me about Jeffrey Sebelia, is that he has a story behind his talent. Jeffrey has over come many obstacles in his life, and pursued a dream until it came true. Without his passion to perfect his art he would just be another designer on the street.

Today Jeffrey has his own label, Cosa Nostra. His Autumn/Winter collection is now available, and can be viewed on his Cosa Nostra website. The Cosa Nostra collection is rock-inspired, with a mens and women's collection. The men's collection has thirteen complete looks for autumn/winter. When you look at the men's collection "Jeffrey" will scream out at you. There is no mistake that Jeffrey truly has his own unique style that he manifests into his designs. The men's collection is full of rock-inspired jackets, grey jeans, plaid shirts, and red leather. If you liked what Jeffrey Sebelia wore on Project Runaway you will love his Autumn/Winter Cosa Nostra collection for 2006. The women's collection has eleven designs that are bold and sexy. Black is used in almost all of the women's autumn/winter collection. My favorite is a women's long sleeve black jacket with white buttons down the spine of the back, and black gloves. I would love to have that outfit in my closet. It is rocker, but sleek and sexy at the same time. There is also a halter style dress that is beautiful.

The world has only seen a little of Jeffrey Sebelia's talent, but I have a feeling that he will be moving ahead very quickly as the next big fashion design icon. You can expect to see a lot more of Jeffrey's designs worn by celebrities, and in movies. Tommy Lee was recently seen sporting the Cosa Nostra label at the 2006 Kentucky Derby. I'm very happy that Jeffrey Sebelia was the winner of Project Runway, because now the world can see all that he has to give.
