Cosmopolitan Cocktail

You need:

Cointreau (or triple sec)
Cranberry juice
Limes (or lemons)
Vodka
Ice

Add 3 parts cranberry juice, 2 parts vodka, 1 part cointreau with a dash of lime juice to a traditional cocktail shaker filled with ice. Mix and strain liquid through the ice into a chilled standard cocktail glass. Add a slice of lime or lemon to finish the drink off.

Tips: try and use the best vodka you can afford up to about £30 for a full size bottle, because the jury is out on whether it is really worth buying anything more expensive, as vodka is a very simple drink.

You can use lemon instead of lime, but lime is traditional.

Use the crushed ice in the drink for a slushy Cosmo.
