Now I am a few years older and I enjoy magazines a great deal. I subscribe to Cosmo, Glamour, Jane, Vogue, Links, Coastal Living, O at home and Elle Decor. As well as People, National Geographic and Readers Digest. I find I have less time to devote to reading novels, and magazines are a great way to spend a few minutes at lunch, or before class. I read magazines for education, information and fun.
I am still a twenty something, and it seems that Cosmopolitan would appeal to me. I consider myself to be smart, sexy and fun. I felt satisfied with my Cosmopolitan when it came, and I enjoyed the funny articles and tips. But, I have a good memory. Cosmo has been printing the same old stuff for so many years it is pathetic! I am really disappointed that the magazine is so popular. It shows that some women buy it and never realize, I could buy 2 issues a year and have the exact same material as a year subscription provides. I am tired of the same stupid sex tips, and positions, and the "drive him wild" crap Cosmopolitan publishes.
I really love Jane and Coastal Living. Jane is a better magazine than Cosmopolitan. Elle Decor is great also. If you are looking for a good women's magazine try out some of the newer ones on shelves, if you look past the famous name, you will find there are much better sources for your women's entertainment than Cosmo. I am also a little dismayed by the "Guy without a shirt" section, is it just me or all of the guys they feature a little too young? Who says all hot men look like seniors in high school? Maybe Cosmopolitan should introduce another magazine, similar to Cosmo girl, and offer some variety to readers. I am not old, but I am a little more sophisticated than the folks at Cosmo give me credit for. I would be so much happier with my subscription if I got interesting new material, and if I ever received it on time. It seems the current issue is on sale for two weeks before I ever get my copy from my subscription.
