Part 1 : Fire House
The number one solution I have found is taking your kid and all his friends to a free tour of the local fire house. What 5 year old child does not like firemen (if he doesn't just read another article). This is great because your son will be known as the kid that took everyone to the fire house and all it costs you at most is 10 bucks in gas getting everyone there.
Part 2: The Food
Now get all the little 5 year olds back to your house for some good food. I'm talking about pizza from the local dominos. Get two 5 5 5 deals from dominos and your will be set on pizza. Second is to grab a gallon of water ice (flavor is your sons favorite flavor) from your local water ice stand. For me its Rita's. The final thing you need are his favorite chips. All you need is one super size bag and you are set. With all the food you are looking at about 50 bucks at most.
Part 3: After Food
Now it's time to let all the kids give your amazing son all his presents. Try to make this go a little fast so the guests can get back to playing. Your present should be what he wanted the most. Try to get something that he really wants under 40 bucks. Some times 1 big present is better than a lot of little ones.
Part 4: Play Time
It's now time to get all the kids out of your house so they don't break anything and cost you more money. Pack everyone into your soccer mom Mini Van and take them to the local park (or if there is a huge park 10 minutes further down the road take them to that). This is going to be where all the parents pick up their child. Expect to be there for a long time, about 2 hours. Let the children play and only be there for support don't try to be a part of the fun let your son have fun with his friends.
This party will only cost you at most 150 bucks and your some gets one of the best parties of his life. Hope you try this and enjoy the money you don't spend.
