Cost-friendly Clinic for Uninsured Opens in Royal Oak
Neighborhood: Royal Oak
Royal Oak, MI 48067
United States of America
Covenant Community Health Center is now taking patients. Located on Woodward, just south of Catalpa Dr., the clinic is the product of a partnership between Beaumont Hospital and Covenant Community Care, which is a non-profit dedicated to providing health care to the uninsured and underinsured. The clinic offers nine examining rooms and employs 14 people, including physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistants and support staff.

Charges for care are on a sliding scale, based on the patient's income. To qualify for treatment at the clinic, the patient must make less than 200 percent of the federal poverty level. So, for a family of four, the cut-off would be around $44,000 per year. This is the third Covenant Community Health Center in metro Detroit, the other two being in Detroit.

For more information about the Royal Oak location, or to schedule an appointment, call 248-556-4900.
