Additional hunting stamps for purchase with a West Virginia hunting license are the big game stamp that costs $10, bear damage stamp costs $10, additional deer with a bow costs $21, additional deer with a gun costs $21, an additional deer with a muzzleloader costs $16, antlerless deer stamp costs $10 and to use a pistol for hunting costs $8.
All animals killed in West Virginia such as deer, bear, turkeys and other big game must be checked in at an approved check-in station throughout West Virginia.
Also, you can buy a combination hunting, trapping and fishing license in West Virginia for $35. All the additional stamps still cost the same as identified in the second paragraph above. The only additional stamp with the combination license is a trout stamp that costs an additional $10.
If you don't plan on hunting additional animals that require a stamp then you don't have to buy a stamp. Also, if you don't plan on fishing for trout then you don't have to purchase the additional trout stamp.
A hunting and trapping license for a non-resident of West Virginia for 2010 costs $119. Also, the additional stamps consists of the following: conservation stamp costs $13, national forest stamp costs $2, archery stamp costs for $32, muzzleloader stamp costs $37, turkey stamp costs $32, additional deer with bow stamp costs $37, additional deer with gun costs $43, additional deer with muzzleloader costs $37, antlerless deer stamp costs $27 and a pistol stamp costs $8.
If you're a non-resident and plan on hunting bear in West Virginia then you must buy a separate license that costs $162. Also, you must buy an additional stamp called bear damage stamp for $10.
