A Cougar woman is typically 40 or older. If she's 45, she may date someone who is 30. If she's 75, she may date someone who is 50. We've seen homage to Cougar women lately. There are Cougar websites. There are Cougar conventions. There was the television show The Cougar on TV Land. Now, there's even a Cougar cruise.
Gone are the days when older women were considered best out of sight/out of mind. Says Valerie Gibson, "It's cool to date an older woman today." Today, helped by stars like Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher or Halle Berry and her boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, younger men and older women are no longer an odd combination. While older men have long dated younger women, older women are doing the same thing today with younger men. If the creators of the first ever International Cougar Cruise have their way, there will be plenty of younger men on the Cougar cruise.
A Cougar cruise is a cruise designed for Cougar women. The first ever International Cougar Cruise will happen on Carnival Cruise Line's Fun Ship Elation. A 2,000 passenger cruise, the ship sets out to sea, from San Diego, California, December 4 and returns December 7, with a trip to Ensenada, Mexico along the way. The cost begins at $125 per person. As with all cruises there are also other fees, like port taxes. In addition to Cougars, the cruise line hopes to have plenty of Cubs on board. What's a Cub? A Cub is the term for younger men who date older women.
With the goal to have plenty of Cubs on board, Singles Travel Company, the creators of the first International Cougar Cruise, are assuring Cougar women that they're in for the time of their lives. Post a CommentOK, about this cougar thing. My read on this is that mature men the age of the cougars, aren't as aroused by them as much as say a 10 to 20 year younger lady. This is probably because mens testosterone drops with age, and lets face it mens mates grow old and things shift with both sexes. I'm 65 in excellent physical health, and I'm told I look like I'm early to mid 50's, but I feel like I'm able to handle any woman and I still have the drive to regardless of age. I have to admit a younger woman, say late 30's does keep me interested longer, if you know what I mean, but I have a very sexy friend who is 65 who is very arousing also. Lets face it these cougar cubs are looking for a buck one way or another. Whatever happened to just physical attraction regardless of age? If they want children and you don't then move on. I am 29. Chicago Cougars hang out at Ceres in the Board of Trade, the clubs off Stony Island Avenue, and the River North clubs off Hubbard. And there are always a bunch of cougars that take their men shopping on Michigan Ave. on the weekend....
