Could Brad Womack Emily Maynard Breakup Mean Three Peat?

Chris Houston
Brad Womack and Emily Maynard should stay together. And there's really only one good reason in my mind why. For love? No. For sake of the show? Absolutely not. For all the people out there who truly wanted to live vicariously? No way. The only reason Brad Womack and Emily Maynard should avoid a breakup is so Brad doesn't have the opportunity for a third appearance on The Bachelor. Don't you dare think for one second that producers of the ABC reality show won't do it! After all, who would have thought a second appearance for the most hated Bachelor ever was a possibility?

The Brad Womack Emily Maynard breakup has me thinking a lot these last few days. I'm not horribly sad because the two have seemingly lived in turmoil since the final rose was presented-or at least that's the way the tabloids have described the on and off again relationship.

Now there are new reports that Emily was seen without "the ring." That's right! The girl who seemed like a terrific pick isn't sporting the one item that tells fans, viewers and on-lookers that she is still engaged to be married to Brad Womack. Emily could have just left the ring at home for the day. Maybe the pair wants to torment fans of the show. Maybe they did breakup. Really, it just doesn't matter that much. I just don't want Brad Womack back for a third season.
As much as I like predicting The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, I would hate to see the same person back for a third chance at love. ABC needs to give that chapter a rest. I am already dreading the moments when Brad or Emily, whether together or apart, come onto The Bachelorette this season to offer Ashley and her chosen one some love advice. Because Brad and Emily shouldn't be giving advice on love? No. Because we've had a little bit too much in the repetitive redundancy department when it comes to Womack. He's had enough of his reality television time. Give somebody else a shot at infamy.

I'm not saying I wish the guy ill will at all. I think he actually saved a lot of his reputation and built a positive image when he came back to The Bachelor. I was surprised at how likable the guy actually was despite being the guy who jilted two girls during the first final rose ceremony. Back then, I wasn't really mad at the guy for being honest and not handing out a rose. I was disappointed when producers of The Bachelor chose Womack to go through the entire process again. It's bad enough The Bachelor and The Bachelorette has become one continuous spin-off after another. The show needs new energy, new participants and a person we aren't familiar with who wants to find love. One of these days, the producers will pick someone to start from scratch. It would be nice to know that a fresh face gets an opportunity for the adventure of the show. Just please don't let the Brad Womack Emily Maynard alleged breakup lead to a third appearance by Bachelor Brad.

It's interesting to note that Womack and Maynard didn't really stand the test of time despite looking like a terrific on screen couple. The show definitely romanticizes the idea of romance quite well. Maybe when the lights were off, the real hurdles like distance and difference in opinion became too evident for the couple if the alleged breakup is accurate.
It's sad that the couple doesn't seem to be on such a good road these days. It's even more sad that fans invest so much time only to see a romance fail instead of blossom. But that's kind of the gamble that potential relationships come with in real life. And Womack is certainly proving to be quite the gamble. Hopefully, producers of The Bachelor won't see that as an asset in a third appearance. Let there be no three peat for The Bachelor. Just like any relationship that ends, let's move on!
