A little background into the D.B. Cooper FBI case
Dan "D.B." Cooper disappeared November 24, 1971, by parachuting out of a plane he hijacked on that day in history.
D.B. Cooper is most likely one of the most recognized names of people who have disappeared in the past 74 years. Cooper is one of three known disappearances that have involved a plane. He and his tale of escape have been back in the news almost 40 years after the incident.
Theories surrounding the D.B. Cooper case.
Let's take a look at theories through the eyes of the FBI and my takes on how they could be turned into conspiracies.
TIP: This is all based on research found on the internet and what the FBI has told the public.
NOTE: Conspiracies arise through the lack of information provided by investigative and intelligent sources like the FBI.
FBI Theory One: Knowledge is power. Agents believe he had knowledge of Seattle and possibly a veteran of the Air Force due to the conversation Cooper had with the flight attendant.
My conclusion: This may have holes all through the accounts of the conversation between Cooper and the flight attendant. Any of this information can be searched out through phone calls, maps, knowledge of the area, and tourism bureaus during this time.
FBI theory turns into a conspiracy. They didn't ask the right people the right questions to turn the fact finding mission into a reality.
FBI Theory Two: French comic book hero makes a great layout for escape. The heroic Royal Canadian Air Force pilot, Dan Cooper, was known, from what the FBI says about the comic books that were never translated into English, was the basis of the id of the hijacker.
My conclusion: First, how did they find out about the French comic books? Where did they get their hands on one? Since they weren't translated into English and published in the United States, how did they know what was said in the comic books? Of course the answer to the last question would be, the pictures. Outside of those questions, it seems the FBI were grasping for straws to find the missing pieces they needed for their case.
FBI theory turns into a "Warehouse 13" conspiracy with evil comic books. Could this be were the webisodes "Of Monsters and Men" came from? I've heard "truth is stranger than fiction." Could D.B. Cooper now be living in a comic book stored in "Warehouse 13"? Maybe someone should contact Mrs. Fredrick to find out.
FBI Theory Three: Cooper jumped from the plane during a storm. Cooper had requested four parachutes; two front and two back parachutes. Four parachutes, one missing, and one left behind on the plane out of the bag it was packed in. The flight attendant relays his commands to the pilots after seeing his face. When she returned, he was wearing sunglasses. They also had reports of a storm during the time he had jumped from the plane.
My conclusion: The numbers don't add up with the parachutes. What makes them think he jumped from the plane? Because he wasn't on board or at least in a position where they could easily locate him. Cooper shoved the money out the door, hid somewhere on the plane. Cooper had an accomplice on board and traded places with him when the flight attendant left the cabin. Both were hiding on the plane and made it off safely going undetected by officials upon landing.
If Cooper did jump from the plane, he could have landed and survived. I'm not saying he wasn't hurt during the jump, but he could have lived. In this report that was released August 2, 2011, his niece claims "The next day, her uncle showed up bruised and bloody, claiming he had been in a car accident."
FBI theory seems to have taken the wrong path during their investigation by looking into people who were suspect at the time due to the information given about what the suspect looked like.
