Could U.S. Package Deal Cut Relations with China?

Randy Jones
I'm kinda confused but was it not to long ago that we just borrowed billions of dollars in debt from China who now holds close to all of the United States debt which we used to bailout useless corporate American businesses who couldn't float after ripping off the American public for years.

OK with that a side here is what is so familiar about what our government does once help has been lent. As reported by Reuters' China's Ministry of Defense is sending some strong words to Washington after the Obama Administration announced a nice 6.4 billion dollar Arms package sale to Taiwan. According to Xinhua the official news reporting agency in China the United States has possibly widened what is already a troubled relationship between China and it's break away province Taiwan.

The Obama Administration told congress Friday the proposed 6.4 billion dollar package to Taiwan would include Black Hawk Helicopters and Patriot missiles and two mine sweeping ships. Qian Lihua, director of China's Defense Ministry Foreign Affairs Office, has urged the U.S. defense attache to issue a "solemn protest" with regards to the sales package.

So why do we care or why should China be upset? Well Washington has turned to China during our current financial crisis as well as assisting with issue's pertaining with Iran and North Korea so it would seem that we have what we needed now and time to move on. Could this cause a Hugh ripple effect in the U.S. and China relations?

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister He Yafei met with U.S. ambassador to China, Jon Huntsman and made it very clear this deal could hinder relations between China and Washington is response to the arms sale.

issues like this can't be solved overnight esp in times like this, we're not sure where the world's economic status would lead us to. :)
