Country Club Hotel and Spa Review

T. Schnieders
It's very rare that my wife and I can get away by ourselves, so a few weeks ago we had the chance to plan a weekend getaway to the Lake of the Ozarks to celebrate our anniversary. So week left our daughters with my wife's parents and headed out for a weekend vacation at the Country Club Hotel and Spa at the Lodge of the Four Seasons.

My wife has a friend who works at the hotel so she was able to get us rooms at a discounted rate, which really helped out since we were traveling on a strained budget.

Overall the hotel was very nice, the staff was polite and helpful, and the grounds were well kept. The only negative thing I found was the house keeping wasn't very good, our room had a few things they missed while cleaning before our arrival, but they were only small things like a glob of toothpaste on the bathroom sink, and a safety pin on the floor.

The Hotel and Spa had several amenities that are very nice, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, racquet ball and tennis courts, a billiards room and much more. We brought our laptop along and enjoyed a very fast WiFi Internet connection from our room.

The rooms are amazing with comfy couches, in room refrigerator, coffee pot, and the first time I've ever seen a television in the bathroom of a hotel. The patio off of our room had an amazing view and tables and chairs to sit in to enjoy the view from.

The Resort is located just off the Business loop off Highway 54 on Carol Road on Route HH / Horseshoe Bend Parkway so it was only minutes from the Bagnall Dam, the Strip, and the rest of the shopping centers that the Lake of the Ozarks offers.

We had a great weekend and next time we plan to stay at the Lake of the Ozarks we are booking our stay at The Country Club Hotel and Spa again.
