Based on the over-whelming response from the crowd, Country Fever will exclusively feature the finest red dirt and Americana acts from Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas and Kansas at the 2009 Country Fever Festival.
The four day line up consists of:
Thursday, June 18: Robert Earl Keen, Wade Bowen, No Justice and Jackson Taylor.
Friday, June 19: Stoney LaRue, Randy Rogers Band, Jack Ingram, Mike McClure, Billy Joe Shaver and Brandon Jenkins.
Saturday, June 20: Cross Canadian Ragweed, Jason Boland, Reckless Kelly, Red Dirt Rangers, Ray Wylie Hubbard and Aaron Watson.
Sunday, June 21: Very special surprise guest, Eli Young Band, Johnny Cooper, Ryan Bingham and Brandon Rhyder. Artists on the side stages include Brandon Clark, Ryan Beaver, Red Eye Gravy, Hazzard, Shawna Russell, Bart Crow, Travis Kidd, South 40, Mama Sweet, Turnpike Troubadours, Susan Herndon, Hosty Duo, Travis Linville, Seth James, Clint Osmus and Monica Cooper.
History of Red Dirt Music:
Red Dirt Music gets its name from the color of soil found in Oklahoma. Red Dirt Music has been described by singer-song writer Jimmy LaFave formerly of Stillwater, Oklahoma, as a mix of folk, rock, country, bluegrass, blues, Western swing and honky-tonk. Singer great, Garth Brooks started his career in Stillwater. Some musicians define Red Dirt music as "country music with an attitude", with the sound being different from each band to band to band.
Venue information:
The Festival is located on 400 acres of beautiful scenic grass and trees. Camping sites are available and the facilities include showers, fresh water, garbage service, RV dump station, 24 hour security and night lighting. There is also a 24 hour convenience store on site with ice available. Spaces are limited so early reservations are advisable.
Tickets are available for purchase on the web site and range from 1 day General Admission at $35.00 to VIP Multi-user for $380.00. Prices vary by purchase date and can be purchased in "lay-a-way" style so shop early.
Attendees not staying on the Festival grounds are advised to book reservations in surrounding areas early, as available room reservations are filled quickly.
