Country Music Videos 2009: Big Hits and No Misses

E C Hagler
2009 is a good year for country music. Country music has kept its tradition of authenticity. It's a relief to hear good values, politically incorrect ideology and a genre that only wants to influence their audience to be true to themselves. Gritty soul, the return of real twang and fiddles, plus the rise of popular country music makes this a real good year for country music.
I'm Alive by Kenny Chesney and Dave Matthews: Can't help but love this song. It's thrilling to watch this video juxtapose musical genius to the intense passion as we see Kenny's life as a performer.
Love Story by Taylor Swift: Thank goodness for Taylor Swift makes it cool to be wholesome and hasn't compromised. Young girls dream and I hope that never will change.
I Told You So by Carrie Underwood with Randy Travis: Somebody said that Carrie doesn't sing real country songs. They're wrong. In the video, Carrie exhibits awe to legend Randy Travis who made this song great twenty years ago. Carrie can indeed sing real country songs, this song proves it.
Cowgirls Don't Cry by Brooks and Dunn and Reba McEntire: We'll miss these guys. They performed for the last time in November. And we never tire of hearing the duo paired with Reba. Dynamite!
People are Crazy by Billy Currington: Isn't that the truth? This song is the understatement of the year. No wonder this song is so popular, even to people that would never want to be known as country music fans.
Then by Brad Paisley: The great thing about Brad Paisley is that he nails every song musically and emotionally too. This simple love song shows a mature perspective of true love.
She's Country by Jason Aldean: It is difficult to choose between this and his Big Green Tractor. Whichever, Jason Aldean records a perfect country song.
Chicken Fried by Zac Brown Band: Download this one. The Zac Brown Band's single is true country twang and unbelievable musical talent. If you like Hank Williams, Jr., Charlie Daniels or Lynard Skynard, you'll like this.
Southern Voice by Tim McGraw. Southerners have not changed their colloquialisms for years. But it's who we are. Don't you wish the rest of the world could appreciate southern charm?
Country Boy by Alan Jackson, with Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley and George Strait: This version is great because Alan Jackson sings with some the greatest country music stars today and it's one of Alan Jackson's best songs this year.
