I get excited just watching the savings add up, almost like an addiction. People have told me that I'm wasting my time, but the savings can't be ignored. Why spend money that you don't have to? Coupons are worth your time, and in reality it only takes just a few minutes out of your day to collect coupons. Even if you only gathered $20 worth of coupons per week, it's still worth it. That may not sound like a lot of money, but it adds up over time. If you use those coupons each week on food it adds up to a total yearly savings of $1040.00. The savings can be even greater than that if you want. Match your coupons with the sale ads and you will stretch your dollar every time.
Easy Ways to get coupons- Right under your nose
Sunday Newspaper
One of the best places to gather coupons is in your Sunday newspaper. The vast majority of newspapers offer hundreds of dollars in coupons each and every week. It only takes just a few minutes to clip those coupons and save them for when you're ready to go shopping. However the trick is to only clip coupons for items you would normally buy or are thinking about buying. For instance if you buy meat every week and there is a coupon for this, then use that coupon for that particular brand of meat. You may normally even buy another brand, but by stepping out of your comfort zone you can save big. After trying the product you will know if you want to buy it again. In many cases you can still find coupons for products and name brand items that you would normally buy any ways. You will save even more if you use the coupons towards items that are already on sale.
On line coupons
Many companies also offer coupons and free product vouchers on line that you can print out, and use the same day. There are various web sites all over the net that provide you with FREE coupons. Here are just a few to get you started.
There's More!
You can even get coupons by simply asking for them. Many people don't know this but you can write letters to the manufactures of your favorite products in order to get coupons and free product vouchers. You simply cut off the UPC code, and include it with your letter to prove to them that you purchase their products. Write a short letter about why you like the product or what they should change. Then simply say please send free product vouchers or coupons, signed your loyal customer. The vast majority of companies out there will send you some. You can also send emails to your favorite companies, but be careful when doing this as it can be considered spamming. If you choose to take this route be sure to personalize each letter and speak your mind about the product. These coupons also typically have longer expiration dates.
Organize your Coupons
You will be more likely to use them if you organize them in one place. You can purchase a mini coupon holder at WalMart for $5.00. There will be a slot for each month out of the year. I use this simple method to keep my coupons organized. To prevent them from expiring before you have a chance to use them be sure to look at the expiration dates and put coupons that expire in July in your June slot. If you want to get even more organized with your coupons and shopping lists you might want to check out Mrs. A's coupon organizer. I am very impressed with this product and I am going to purchase it in the near future.

As you can see coupons are worth your time, and they are easy to obtain. Go shopping and start saving.
You can also save on food by joining a food co-op. If you live in the Phoenix Arizona area, check out this link to my favorite Co-cop. www.bountifulbaskets.org
Otherwise you can do a search on line to find one in your area.
