Courage Tea: A Spiritual Brew to Awaken Courage and Stability

A Powers
I developed this tea to prepare for stressful situations. It has been especially effective for public speaking engagements and other events during which I found myself at the center of attention. If you are uncomfortable being in the spotlight, or feel the need for an extra boost before taking a risk, my Courage Tea may be just the thing you need.

Supplies:

1 ginseng tea bag
1 whole clove
1 pinch nutmeg
2 pinches cinnamon
½ or whole cherry

Hold your hands over a mug of hot water. Take in the feel of the steam and visualize yourself in a quiet, spiritual place. Begin to steep the tea bag, visualizing the energies of beauty, strength and courage flowing into yourself in the form of color or light.

Add the clove, visualizing the power of love entering yourself.
Add the nutmeg, bringing positive luck.
Add the cinnamon, strengthening your image.
Add the cherry, visualizing yourself rising in victory.

Stir the tea clockwise in increments of three. As the tea steeps, breathe the steam and solidify your visualization. When the tea is cool enough to sip, begin drinking. Between sips, name your goal. For example, "I will give an effective, eloquent speech." When the tea is gone, eat the cherry, sealing your success.

Remember to ground yourself when the rite is complete. Take a few moments to meditate or relax, touching earth, salt or wood to absorb excess energy.
