Court Ordered Cosmetics Giveaway

Virginia Chavez
Indeed, everybody loves a bargain, including me. As I read the daily dish this morning, I came across a new article about a lawsuit awarding consumers $175 million in cosmetic product. Retailers court ordered to give out product include Macy's, Nordstrom and Dillard's to name a few. Here is a link that details all the retailers cosmeticssettlement.com.

I scurried to the nearest Macy's at the South Bay's Westfield, Valley Fair. I found massive lines, as you can see from the photo. So I stood in the multi hundred person-line. Why not? I was already there. It was a bit of a mad house though. My ankles got banged up from a woman impatiently pushing her baby stroller behind me. I had to restrain myself from yelling at her. She was with child, after all.

Perfume items were totally out and the remaining items were limited to body washes, night creams and perfumed lotions. I ultimately walked out with Vera Wang's Princess Body Polish. One item was the limit. Was it worth the ten minute wait and banged up ankles? Maybe if it was more than one product, so I journeyed about ten minutes north to Sunnyvale's Macy's . To my disappointment, they were completely out.

You are far more intrepid than I am. I couldn't deal with the lines and the cold at Macy's Herald Sq.

At least you got something. I took my camera with me and was going to get some photos to go with my article but to put fresh batteries in the camera. LOL
