Court Street Partially Collapses in Carroll Gardens
Neighborhood: Carroll Gardens
Brooklyn, NY 11231
United States of America
Traffic around Court Street was really backed up towards the end of the week because a water pipe had burst between 1st and 2nd Place on Wednesday, January 19, 2011. The street is partially collapsed and only one traffic lane was opened on Thursday morning.

The 76th Precinct sent out an e-mail saying that all agencies are working together to minimize the impact that this will have on the community. They also announced that they do not know how long it will take for work to be completed on Court Street.

The street has a huge t-shaped hole in it as of press time. The 76th Precinct and the traffic agents created a route to divert traffic in case Court Street will be shut down again.
