Courteney Cox and Brian Van Halt: In Love (For Now)

Courteney Cox is in love with Brian Van Halt. That's what Radaronline says, anyway. But, given that she was married to the peculiar, albeit, sometimes very charming, David Arquette for eleven years, this guy may look like the knight in shining armor to her right now. Outside of that, it falls under the heading of "rebound" and is probably not a very good idea.

I wasn't very surprised when the news broke that Courteney Cox and David Arquette split up. They've been remarkably candid over the years about their marriage and the continual efforts they put into keeping it together, in spite of their very polar opposite differences. (Read: Marriage counseling) She's the controlling neat freak who likes order and predictability; he's the quirky and not very mature, bumbling, but oddly charming husband.

I mean, I guess it could work, but when you have two people who are that different, that far apart in their personality types - you've got your job cut out for you, that's for sure. Not to mention, Hollywood doesn't exactly make it easy for you, you know? Hot bodies, gorgeous people, money, money, money, privilege and opportunity to cheat abound everywhere. So, that they made it eleven years? Quite impressive, indeed.

They also have one very cute little girl to think about who is probably really confused right now. Of course, it won't help when she reads about her father going on Howard Stern to blab with no restraints on his mouth what so ever about their sex life and his "manly conquest" when he bedded some bartender chick. Holy moly. But then, we are talking David Arquette here. Which reminds me, does anybody else think he looks exactly like Sonny Bono? No? Just me?

Anyway. So, Courteney Cox and Brian Van Halt are now, unofficially, a new couple. David Arquette is currently on his "I-can't-believe-I -said-that-out-loud" apology tour and that's a wrap.
