Court:'Hillary: The Movie' Group Must Disclose Donors

The Clintons have long been hounded by conservative opposition. Through articles, books, movies, and radio, outrageous claims of corruption and criminal behavior have been placed on the Clinton's. Citizens United is a conservative group who is doing exactly that. The group is behind the production of "Hillary: The Movie", a film that depicts the senator in an unflattering light. The film is currently experiencing a rough launch.

A U.S. District Court joined the Federal Election Commission (FEC) in a ruling finding that Citizens United, must disclose its donors. The group planned to promote the movie, with paid advertising, which both the court and the FEC said violated the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002. The FEC said in that Citizens United had pushed the court "to block the FEC from enforcing disclosure and other provisions of campaign finance law related to the film 'Hillary: the Movie' and advertising intended to promote it." The FEC found the movie to be "electioneering communications," which falls under the BCRA language requiring donor disclosure.

The Movie features commentary from a number of pundits and politicians including Ann Coulter, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and Dick Morris, a former Clinton adviser. The 'elves' of the 90's remain intent on destroying both Bill and Hillary Clinton. These pundits and others have little credibility in the eyes of the public, so it is a wonder they persist in their crusade of character assassination.
