I went onto one of my favorite web sites, Priceline.com, and bid for the cheapest 3.5 to 4-star hotel I could find and it brought me to the Courtyard Atlanta in Norcross, Georgia. I knew that the Marriott had a pretty good name in the industry. However, I haven't personally stayed at a Marriott for some time, so I didn't know what to expect.
This particular weekend I had two extra guests with me, so I needed to get a suite or a very large room for the price that I wanted. I found that the rooms at the Courtyard were extremely large to the point of being able to put in another full or queen sized bed if need be. The rooms were decorated very well, with cherry wood, full sized beds, plush linens and comforters and the room also had a very large flat screen TV that swiveled so that viewing was made easy from any angle.
The Courtyard also had a very nice lobby entrance with very comfortable sitting areas which were directly across from the indoor pool area as well as the in house restaurant. Also, in the lobby area, you will find close to the registration desk a little convenience store that had everything from pantyhose to ice-cream. So, if you had a run in your hose, you could purchase a new pair there and if you woke up at 2 a.m. and needed a little something to snack on, they had that too. Of course all of this convenience comes at a premium with a candy bar costing as much as 1.75 and a pint of ice cream around $4.75.
One of the biggest things I look for other than comfort in a hotel is the bath area. The bath area has to be clean, clean and did I say clean? The bathroom at the Courtyard Atlanta Norcross was very clean and was larger than most. They even had a telephone in there and a scale for all of you weight and health conscience people. This brings me to the workout facility. I didn't have time to use it this go round, but they had every machine you could want and it was laid out very well, so kudos to the Courtyard Marriott for promoting fitness!
Courtyard Atlanta Norcross, Peachtree Corners has more than 130 spacious guest rooms which include king or double occupancy. You will find that they have free Internet that includes wireless and DSL for your convenience. The nearby attractions include: Stone Mountain, Perimeter Mall and you're only a few miles from downtown Atlanta.
Bottom-line: Excellent ON-LINE price of less than $30.00 on Priceline for a 3.5 to 4 star hotel. Excellent location and a great place for families or road warriors to stay. Visit the Courtyard Atlanta Norcross/Peachtree Corners today at 3209 Holcomb Bridge Road, Norcross, Georgia 30092 or call them today at 770-446-3777 to find out about their specials or go directly to Priceline.com or Hotwire.com for even great deals.
