Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain: The Latest in Lip Color

R. M. Dubuc
Covr Girl Outlast Lipstain is one of the newest types of lip color on the cosmetics market. Not quite a lip liner or lipstick, and not a gloss, Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain is a unique lip color cosmetic that provides the definition of a lip liner and the color of a lipstick.

Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain is designed to provide all day lip color without smudging or fading. The ten colors available for Cover Girl Lipstain cover the full range, from lighter pinks to mauves and natural brown shades. My sample was a Cinnamon color, when I was offered the opportunity to preview Cover Girl Lipstain as part of a Bzz Agent campaign. The color appeared much darker on the tip, but when applied, the color had a medium richness and looked natural. Cover Girl Lipstain provided just enough color for a professional look, without looking overdone.

About Cover Girl Lipstain

Cover Girl Lipstain offers a lip color with a longer color hold than many traditional lipsticks. The idea of a "lipstain" inplies this aspect, and the color is meant to last for the day. The Cover Girl Lipstain has a unique applicator. Instead of a traditional lipstick holder, Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain is designed like a medium wide felt tipped marker. This makes lip lining and application much easier than applying a cream lipstick.

Application of the Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain is easy, and once the lips are lined, you just need to fill in the rest. It is recommended that regular lip exfoliation will help the keep a smooth application. Lip gloss can be applied to after Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain provides the lip color. The gloss adds to a finished look.

Cover Girl Lipstain will be sold at stores where Cover Girl cosmetics are typically sold. The retail price for Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain is $7.99.

Testing Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain

The preview of Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain was enough to convince me to buy more in the future. Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain felt quite different from ordinary lipstick, and I had to check a few times to make sure it was still on. It was, but the lipstain is light and natural, and I did not have to reapply the lipstain during the day.

I found that the exfoliation recommendation made the lipstain apply smoother and a gloss was a nice addition when I wanted some extra moisture. Without the gloss, lipstick wearers who like a shine or gloss to their lip color, may find Cover Girl Lipstain more of a matte type lip color.

Overall, my preview of Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain was successful. I like the new Cover Girl cosmetic product enough to purchase it in the future, and the unique design of the felt tipped applicator made lip color easy to put on, even on a busy morning. For $7.99, I would give it a try. Many higher priced cosmetics may offer the same long lasting color, but why pay more when Cover Girl brings such innovative ideas to the world of lip color.

I agree. I love this product. One suggestion for the people who are having trouble with it wearing off....let it dry before you eat or drink anything, or lick your lips. It will last much longer then. Just FYI. :)

Sounds like what I need. I eat my lipstick off during the day. Maybe this would actually stay.
