CoverGirl Lipstick Used on Molly in America's Next Top Model Finale- Spellbound #325 Review

Never in America's Next Top Model history have I ever gone out on a hunt to find a product that was used on the model contestants, and this is another reason why I feel Molly should have been the winner of the last cycle. Not only was she high fashion, but she managed to sell me.

The season finale featured the final 2 girls doing the final shoot for the ad campaign, I was mesmerized with Molly's lip color! Thank God the makeup artist mentioned the name of it. 'Spellbound'.

I figured seeing that this gorgeous color was mentioned on air, that finding it would be impossible. However a few days later I came across the very last one on the shelf, CoverGirl Spellbound #325 was finally mine! I just hoped it looked as bright and beautiful on my skin tone as it did on Molly's, as she has much fairer skin.

Color:

Thankfully this lip color was just as beautiful on me as it was on her with her fair skin. The color pops, it is bright, bold, and it is beautiful.

Spellbound is a strange color combo, thus suiting it perfectly to its name. When first applied I got a beautiful pink plum matte finish, with some shine to it. However as it dries, you get a much deeper raspberry color, with a deeper mix of plum, the shine vanishes.

Texture:

Spellbound has a moisturizing feel to it, that vanishes quickly. After the moisturizer wears off, my lips were left feeling a little dry, but not to the point where it was annoying or bothersome. A quick swipe of balm fixes the issue.

Last:

I really love Spellbound's color, and I hoped the last would be as impressive as the color. Luckily it is. The color does fade over the duration of the day, but it is not fast fading. I get nearly 5 hours of last till I find I need to boost the color up again with another application.

Overall:

I'd give CoverGirl Spellbound, 4 stars out of 5. I had to take away a star due to the drying feel and the need for a balm as a topcoat. Other than that though, this lipstick lasts for a long time, and delivers stunning bold lip color that seems to go well on light fair skin, to darker skin tones. It's a universal color if you will.

I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a bold and trendy color boost to spice up their look.
