"Cowboys and Aliens" Starring Harrison Ford Daniel Craig Coming to Theaters July, 29th, 2011
Ford, Craig, Others Stars Light Up the Screen in "Cowboys and Aliens" This July, 2011
In a role which might convince a Hollywood noob that movie studios are finally listening to the fans, Harrison Ford is performing in one of the few serious Sci-fi Westerns to ever be performed. While the movie is not coming out until July 29th, 2011, the announcement came via Yahoo! Movies on November 17th, 2010. Calm down! Harrison ford (aka Han Solo to most old farts these days) still plays a hero. But descriptions of the film read like he almost goes there a bit onto the dark side.
Harrison Ford is well-established enough, there's no fear of being type-cast as a performer.
The man did debut his thespian skills as Han "Freaking" Solo, after all. In this film, he performs as the controlling, oppressive, bad guy/good guy Col. Dolarhyde in "Cowboys and Aliens," Ford's performance will ensure viewrs a fun escapist experience. When the announcement first rolled out, it almost read as if Harrison Ford was going to be a "bad guy" for once. But some dreams are just too big to dream, even in Hollywood. Even when it comes to cowboys fighting off an alien attack on Earth.
It's not just Harrison Ford making this one of the most anticipated movies of 2011.
The talent behind this movie is mind-boggling. While there are movies with an "all-star cast," "Cowboys and Aliens" is including an "all-star" film/editing/production/marketing crew. Next to Harrison Ford on the screen will be Daniel Craig (007...Yes!), Olivia Wilde, Sam Rockwell, Adam Beach, Paul Dano and Keith Carradine. "Cowboys and Aliens"-is-going-to-be-a-great-movie!
But, take a look behind the camera of "Cowboys and Aliens," too!
The name "Steven Spielberg" alone is directly translated as "good movie" in many Earth languages as it is. He could joke about a film about fixing dinner and Hulu.com would see searches for the term "Spielberg movie dinner.". But adding other names like Jon Favreau, Ron Howard, and Brian Grazer just puts "Cowboys and Aliens" on a whole new branch of movie classics. If this movie is going to have a flaw, it will be that of being too good to enjoy just once, and serving as the one existing distraction to Facebook. Take note, Mark. "Cowboys and Aliens" might just warrant a "Thank you" note for Spielberg and Ford, both.

Post a CommentI'm looking forward to this. Harrison Ford hasn't done scifi since parking the Millenium Falcon.
Sounds interesting
My kids still can't believe Harrison Ford was Hans Solo....like when they see a picture of me 20 years ago. Like aging is magic or something...."oooo wow!"
Oh sweet, thought it was gonna be another Raiders of the Lost Ark movie!!!
Haven't heard of it. I'm definitely interested.
