The coyotes are howling, they're singing their song,
enjoying each other like nothing is wrong.
They seem so happy when you hear them sing,
it is so loud what can it mean?
They get together every night
to enjoy others company,
and they never fight.
They get together and go out hunting,
they roam the hills and woods,
they look for that special something,
and catch it if they could.
They are not greedy they share with the rest,
they have their order, they are surely blessed.
They raise their families the way they've been taught,
look after the babies, and share what they caught.
If you ever hear them singing their song,
know they are happy and nothing is wrong.
Doing what they must to survive,
is the way they live and are glad to be alive.
I am so thankful I live where I do,
to get to hear them each night through.
Their beautiful song, I know not what it says,
but is so nice to hear while lying in bed.
I love the country, what can I say,
maybe just maybe you can visit someday.
