CP Spotlight: Melody DeJongh

Step into the Life of a Mother, Wife, Student and Writer .

EarnItMama
I've decided to take the time out and interview one of my favorite CP's, Melody deJongh. She is someone I feel I can relate to through her writing and interests. Melody has written various articles and poems, but I have to say my all-time favorite is definitely "How to Get Back Your ENTIRE Security Deposit." This interview will let you take a look into her life... See what Melody has to say!

What really inspires you to write?
Most of the time the things that inspire me to write are things that have personally happened to me. Or things that happened to people that I know. Most of my writing is non-fiction, even my poetry. There is a truth element to 95% of the things that I write. If the events in my writing did not happen, sometimes I wish that they would, so I write about them.

What is the one thing that draws you to the computer and really gets your fingers moving on an article? The urgency of me getting out what I want to say about the subject. Sometimes, the topic will be stuck in my head and I can not shake it. That's when I have to tell my self to write it or I will keep thinking about it. The things I write about have importance to me even when other people think it is the most meaningless topic in the world.

So how did you get into writing? I have been writing articles all my life, as a requirement for school. My real love is short stories and poetry and I started writing, full-on, when I was in the 5th grade. That's when all the emotional things in my life began happening. I would keep journals and diaries with my poetry in it, because that is the only way that I could vent my emotion, whether good or bad, without being judged.

Tell us one thing about yourself that people might not know. That is a hard one, because I am pretty much very outspoken on almost everything. I would have to say, it would be that I hate to be in closed spaces with a lot of people. Don't get me wrong, I am not claustrophobic, but I just thing that I will catch something and it freaks me out!

What has been your greatest success in life?Becoming a mother. Not every woman can do that. It is something that I wanted to do since I was playing "House" in kindergarten! Some people might not view that as a success but I really do.

What goals are you trying to achieve with your writing?I just want people to see what I have to say. It may not be the most interesting thing in the world, what I write, but apparently it is of some importance.

If you where trapped on an island by yourself what 3 things could you not live without?Besides food and water? My family, my bed and my computer!

Name 5 songs that you would include on your personal life soundtrack. "Love" , "You're All I Need", "A Song For Mama", "We Are Family", "I Got You Babe"

What actor would you want to play you in your life story and why?
Nia Long. I like her in every movie that she plays in and also I think that she is very pretty.

What made you start writing for Associated Content?
Truthfully, it was because of the money. After that, I wanted to see how many page views my content would generate.

What color best describes your personality and why?
Purple. The thing about purple is that it is a dark color but at the same time a very feminine one. Purple can be considered dark but happy at the same time and that is my life most of the time. Problems happen but I am still truly happy and blessed!
