Formula Brakes USA recalled about 5,700 Oro disc brakes for bicycles. The brake's hand lever can detach, which causes loss of breaking. If this occurs, the bicycle rider will lose control of the bicycle, which may result in serious injury. While there have been six reports of the brake's hand lever separating. However, no injuries have been reported.
The brakes have been carried by bicycle specialty stores nationwide in the time frame from May 2005 to July 2007. The recall concerns the Oro K18, Oro K24, Oro Puro, and Oro Bianco models, with serial number below 295237. The number is located on the brake's body. Typically the breaks are installed on mountain bikes. It is hand lever operated, which is attached to the bicycles handlebar. The product was manufactured in Italy.

The second recall involves about 22,000 2007 model Huffy "Howler" and "Highland" bicycles. These are multi-speed 26-inch, 24-inch, or 20-inch wheeled bicycles. The bicycles were sold nationwide through Kmart in the time frame from May 2007 to July 2007. The recall concerns the "Howler" models K3587 (black boy's model), K4587 (blue men's model), and K6587 (red men's model). The recalled "Highland" models are K4597 (white women's model) and K6597 (blue women's model). The model numbers can be found on the bottom of the frame near the crank. The bicycles name is prominently printed on the bicycle frame. "Huffy" is printed on the front of the frame. The product has been manufactured in China.
