Crabtree & Evelyn's La Source Hand and Body Creams

Three Steps for Beautiful Hands and Nails

I discovered a new line of hand and body products one day while out shopping with a friend of mine...we had entered the Crabtree and Evelyn store located in a mall near my house. I was familiar with Crabtree and Evelyn for years but just hadn't kept up with the newer items that had been formulated by them, especially the ones which contain Shea Butter...My Friend just loves Shea Butter and we decided to have a try at these new potions

We entered this lovely store with its wonderful aromas, and there, on the front display table, was their new line of products called La Source hand, body, nails and foot products, all featuring Shea Butter...

The saleslady came over to us as I was trying out something I found on the shelf, it felt rich, cool and creamy with a truly nice scent...she asked me if she could demonstrate one of the products that truly improves the condition of your hands, that you can see immediately...I said ok and she proceeded to put some Hand Recovery, agritty type of crème on my hands, then rubbed them gently, massaging the crème into my skin for about 10 to 15 seconds...there was a somewhat warm feeling in my hands that I liked...after rinsing, and gently patting my hand almost dry, not completely since she said to wait a few minutes for the moisture in the air to complete the job. I couldn't believe how my hands felt when the treatment was over...she told me this Hand Recovery could be used on any dry part of your body, feet, elbows even cuticles...I was sold!

I then used the product called Hand Therapy....what a rich emollient hand/body lotion that is, not in the least bit greasy and doesn't leave a sticky feeling behind after you use it since it absorbs completely... the wonderful clean scent is definitely a plus and with the healthy effects of the Shea butter, so smooth the touch...I added that to my shopping cart, so to speak...Hand Therapy comes in 3 sizes and I bought the bottle with the pump instead of the tube...the price was much better in this larger size and easier to use...Now I use it all over my body, especially areas that are exposed to this intense Florida sunshine. Both purchases came to under $50.

The next La Source product I used came as a gift from my daughter, I had been telling her how much I loved these products so she bought me a gift set that had both the recovery and the therapy but also included the Cuticle Therapy....

For years I had acrylic nails and they certainly did a number on my nails and cuticles during that period...I decided to remove them and let my nails grow out, which wasn't as hard as I thought it would be...after sitting in that chair for so many years I learned how to give myself a good manicure, especially as my own nails got stronger, but my cuticles weren't in the best shape...The Hand Recovery helped but I needed something that focused on the cuticles....and I found it at La Source..well, actually my daughter found it...this is also a highly condensed cream made with Shea Butter...it's sold in a small tube the size of small travel size toothpaste...You need to apply just a tiny amount around the cuticle, massage it into the nail and then use some sort of manicure implement to push those cuticles back...after that, apply your base coat, color and top coat. It works every time to make my nails look nice and professionally done.

Then a dab of Hand Therapy and voila, beautiful hands and nails!

Using this method and also using the Hand Recovery, a few times every week, has really improved the overall appearance and feel of my hands....I even think they look younger!

Yes, Crabtree and Evelyn's La Source hand and body line of products have proven to be a consistent source of goodness for my hands and are just what I needed. I recommend them highly. In my Book, the natural qualities of Shea butter can't be beat...Your hands will feel like Butter!

I love these products too. I think it's more than just the shea butter, though; in that "gritty creme" called Hand Recovery, I suspect the sea salt plays a big role in getting rid of those dead skin cells. Lots of other great botanicals and oils in these products too. I try to use them daily, but am FAR from a C&E boutique, and forget to buy on-line when I run out!
