Crabtree & Evelyn's Revitalising Mineral Muscle Soak is Luxurious

Lori Leidig
Crabtree & Evelyn has long held a soft spot in my heart, which began about 6 years ago when I discovered their absolutely to-die-for Savanah Gardens and Summer Hill lines of shower gel and lotions. 10 star stuff, that. While stumbling upon one of their too-few stores recently, I came upon this nectar of the gods: La Source Revitalising Mineral Muscle Soak. I was beginning to feel the strain of power-shopping with my dear friend Barbara, so this clear jar full of pretty blue crystals was too inviting to pass up (even if it was $20 for 7oz.)

I am sooo glad I splurged.

This item comes with a cute little clear, plastic, shell-shaped scoop for measuring. You just fill the scoop and pour it under the running warm water, then luxuriate in the absolutely heavenly scent wafting up out of the tub. Yeah, it ain't all that great sniffing the stuff in the jar itself, but ooooh what a nice transformation when it mixes with the water.

You may have to swirl the water around a little to get it to totally dissolve, but them I'm excessive at times and tend to use more of something than they tell me too. heh. It turns the water to a slightly blue tinge. Pretty, that.

Get in. Slump down. Down further. Let this soak into your entire body for about 10 minutes. Almost better than sex, innit? Now, anytime a product has the word Mineral in it, I kinda expect oily for some bizarre reason. This is not oily... well ok, just ever so slightly. Just the perfect amount so that it barely coats your skin. The effect is perfection in a bath crystal.

Now, to be fair, soaking in a warm tub alone in and of itself does wonders for achy joints. I am saying that the effect of adding this Muscle Soak builds on that and makes the bath even more pleasurable and relaxing.

Crabtree & Evelyn's sez: Slip into a bath of soothing aquamarine, mineral-rich waters. Dead Sea salts, algae and marine extracts help relieve tension and fatigue while peppermint cools achy muscles.

They ain't lying. I get no hint of the peppermint at all in this Mineral Soak, just that cool, soothing aquamarine kinda scent. Fresh, beachy almost, cleansing... just all-around luxurious. I could easily see them using this one at pricey spas.

I've just come from one such long soak in this and am in fact still sitting in my towel. I can still, after typing all this, grasp just a slight hint of the heavenly aroma on my skin. The slight oily coating has soaked in and my entire body feels sooooo soft at the moment. My joints are throbbing at a lower volume than they have in a very long time.

Five strong stars for this Revitalising Mineral Muscle Soak. 7oz may not sound like much for 20 smackers, but based on how much is left in this jar after a couple of uses, I think this will last several months. It's worth every last penny.
