Craft Guide for Make-It-Yourself "Seven Kisses Wedding Favor"

He popped the question. The excitement, the flurry, the glow on your face... it's still there, but now the question is: where are you going to get the money for all those expensive little wedding favors out there? No fear! Consider Make-It-Yourself favors. As you put them together with your fiancé or girlfriends, they can actually prove to be a calming effect on your mind and body days or months before your wedding! Doing a make-it-yourself-project actually allows you precious time to converse and laugh together, knowing you are making something personal and handmade for your guests. Chances are, these favors will be cuter, more personal, and even more fun and relaxing to make (not to mention money-saving) then they would be if you bought some from one of these endless companies out there that provide mass-made items! Follow these easy guidelines for a simple "Seven Kisses Favor" and you'll be on your way in no time... The "seven" is a divine number meaning divine completeness, and the "kisses" symbolize the romance and love of your special day!

(to make 20 favors)

Tools You Will Need:

*Scissors (to cut the decorative string)

Supplies You Will Need:

*20 white netting rounds - you can easily find these at any craft store, sometimes right in the wedding ideas section
*140 Hershey's Kisses candies (silver or gold wrappers, your choice)
*Gold or Silver craft tape 1/8-1/4 in. thick (gold or silver depending on either the color of your wedding or the color of your Hershey Kisses wrappers) - one or two rolls should be enough

Instructions:

1) Prepare your decorative string into 8" long pieces, set aside
2) Lay out flat a single netting round
3) Place 7 of the Hershey's Kisses in a small mound in the center of the round, trying to stack them up as much as possible
4) Pull up the netting evenly around the Kisses, again trying to make sure the Kisses are mounded, and hold the netting at the top to prepare to tie it closed
5) Tie one of the 8" pieces of the string around the netting at the top of the favor and tie in a bow or in a knot (added: you can also attach your personal message to the favor by using small strips of cardstock, punch a hole in one corner, and string through the tie)

God forbid I ever get married, but this is a good idea, and I will keep it in mind...just in case. I've seen them at weddings before. Welcome to AC.
