Jeweled Christmas Ornaments

Jeweled Christmas ornaments are a great way to add elegance to your Christmas tree or home decor.

Materials:

Solid colored round Christmas ornaments
a glass or cup
pencil
tacky glue
a pair of tweezers
a gold glitter paint pen and assorted jewels (gems)

Directions:

Cover a flat work surface with newspaper or plastic. Place a Christmas ornament onto a glass or cup to keep the ornament from rolling around. Using the pencil make a design onto the Christmas ornament to determine the placement of your jewels. Using the tacky glue and the tweezers (depending on the size of your jewels) attach the jewels to the top half of your Christmas ornament. Let the glue dry.

After the glue has dried, use the gold glitter paint pen to carefully outline each of the jewels. Let the gold glitter paint dry. Turn the Christmas ornament and repeat the process on the bottom half of the ornament. To hang your jeweled Christmas ornaments you can use a standard bulb hanger, although a coordinating satin ribbon would really add a touch of sophistication.

small clear ornaments
small red
gold or silver jingle bells
