Craft Shows Coming to Abilene Texas in July, 2010

When you live in a one horse town like Abilene Texas you relish the craft shows and events that come to town! Two of my favorite crafts shows and events are coming to Abilene Texas in July, 2010. Both will be held at the Abilene Civic Center.

The Abilene Civic Center has ample, free parking and is easily accessible as it is just on the edge of down town Abilene Texas. I love the way it is set up to wrap around the parking lot so that no matter where you park you don't have to walk far. There is a nice area out back with tree lined seating so you can relax and enjoy yourself while waiting for the doors to open!

1) On The Road Ranch, Arts & Crafts show

I am continually amazed at the variety of vendors this show presents. Always fresh, always innovative - we always have a great time! Don't let the name fool you, this show isn't just about "ranch" crafts. The food is a little pricey but if you are lucky you can get some of the home made chili before it sells out! My tribe just loves it!

Description:
An "On The Road" Ranch Show is a truly remarkable and one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Shoppers will find a vast selection of unique items including personalized designs, home décor, hand crafted jewelry, fashionable clothing, gourmet treats, creative gifts and so much more!

2) Abilene Quilters Guild Show

We always have a great time at this event! I love to watch the demonstrations! Every year I buy my raffle tickets hoping to win one of the beautiful quilts - so far no luck though! The snacks are decently priced and there is ample room to sit and rest while enjoying them. This is a great event for quilting enthusiasts, or just wannabe's like me!
