Crafter's Companion Scoreboard: A Godsend for Multitasking Paper Crafters

meeker
I recently purchased the Crafter's Companion Bundle. It came with a Crafter's Companion Scoreboard Instructional DVD, top score multi-board with instruction leaflet, The Enveloper with instruction leaflet and a scoring tool. Both boards come with embossing elements that you can use to decorate your paper crafts.

The instructional DVD explains the uses of the scoreboards very well and has easy to follow along step-by-step instructions that are also shown in the leaflets that you receive with your boards. The DVD gives a thorough introduction of the product. It also includes tutorials for card folding and box making using the double-sided Top Score multiboard and a tutorial for envelop making using The Enveloper board.

The instruction leaflets are very helpful but I would suggest that you watch the DVD to get a better understanding of the product. The only negative thing I could find about this product is that if you are using thin paper to make envelops or cards when scoring the lines with the scoring tool you have to press very lightly, otherwise you will rip the paper. It takes just a little practice to figure out the right pressure to use or you can just use feather light strokes over and over until you get the desired score marks.

I have to say that I am very pleased with this product. It is definitely money well spent! You can make a number of different types of cards. The shape and sizes of boxes that you can create is amazing. The best feature in this bundle is the Envelobox feature on The Enveloper. Basically, you make an envelope that is 3-dimensional. This allows your embellished cards that are thicker than your typical greeting card to fit perfectly into the envelop without squishing your creation. I can see why this was award winning! This is an item that I am currently looking at selling on our new scrapbook supplies website, www.paperchopsticks.com, this summer. This is a must have for all you card makers out there and these elements can be incorporated into scrapbooking as well.
