Leprechaun Hat
Adorn your dinner table with a magical centerpiece. You will need a wooden box with a wide lid, green acrylic paint, gold glitter, craft glue and a permanent black marker. Paint the box and the lid with the green paint and allow it to dry. Place the lid on top of the box and flip it over so the lid is on the bottom. You may want to place a thin line of glue along the edge of the top of the box to adhere it to the lid. Use a clean paint brush to paint a wide line of craft glue around the box. Sprinkle the glue with gold glitter and let it dry, then paint a buckle around the glitter using the black marker.
Shamrock Guest Towel
Create a decorative guest towel for St. Patrick's Day using a regular hand towel, a piece of shamrock patterned fabric and a ribbon. Position a white or green hand towel on a hard surface with the short side facing down, measure along the bottom and cut a piece of fabric to match the length. Sew the fabric to the bottom of the towel using a sewing machine or by hand. Position a piece of holiday ribbon over the rough edge of the fabric and stitch by hand to secure the ribbon to the towel.
Miniature Pots of Gold
Decorate throughout the house with miniature pots of gold. You will need small terra cotta pots, plastic coins along with black and gold paint. Paint the pots in black and the coins in gold. Once the pots have dried, fill them with the gold coins. Decorate the outside of the pots with shamrocks made of green sequins or gems. Instead of painting plastic coins, you could also fill the pots with candy coins or gold colored pompoms.
Four Leaf Clover Banner
Fill your home with luck on St. Patrick's Day. Paint twenty paper plates and five popsicle sticks with green acrylic paint. Position four plates in to a clover shape and glue them together using liquid glue. Repeat with the remaining plates to create five clovers. You could also paint more plates to make more clovers, which will result in a longer banner. Tape a popsicle stick on to the back of each clover with the bottom hanging down to create a stem. Lay each clover face down in a line, leaving about one foot of space between each clover. Position a string measuring about five feet along the top of the back of each clover. Place a piece of tape on each clover to secure the string. Hang the banner anywhere in your home for good luck.
