Your Halloween food table will have enough colorful foods upon it, so spread a black tablecloth on the table, and lay a smaller orange cloth on top of that. Your plates are fine being white if you are on a limited budget but you could also use the colored plates and napkins if you want to.
Finger foods are perfect for most Halloween parties because there are so many other events going on usually.
Witches hats, these are the small peanut butter cookies with the chocolate kiss in the middle. To make them to fit in with Halloween go ahead and use the holiday sprinkles.
Sticks in the mud are made with those pretzels, which are sticks but also called rods. Pretzels in pools of chocolate, the pools of chocolate could be candy melts, which you melt first, drop it by small amounts on to a prepared surface or simply melt a bar of chocolate in the microwave. Once you have several small pools of chocolate go ahead and put some pretzels sticks in it and add a small amount of chocolate on the ends of the pretzels to seal them to the chocolate.
Mushy brains are made with jell-o. Make your jell-o per the instructions of the package and add in some chunky items such as marshmallows, or fruit cocktail. To serve this put a few lettuce leaves on a plate and dump the bowl of jell-o on it. This is very cool if you make 1 package of jell-o and let it set and then add a darker color of jell-o on top, when you invert this the darker color will be on the bottom.
Be sure to add the non-sweet treats to the table as well, such as pepperoni, cheese crackers, and some fruit. You could also add pumpkin cookies or muffins as well.
Cauldron juice is a juice mixture that could be served in a cauldron or punch bowl, which is set on the party table. It is easy to make you simply add 2 cans of grape juice, one 2 liter of ginger ale and mix it well. Then you add a half gallon of sherbet to the cauldron and let it sit there. The sherbet will melt and this is great for a spooky drink.
Witches brew is simply a milkshake but it is made using chocolate milk with your favorite type of chunky ice cream. A great one to use is the rocky road flavor, which has many chunks in it. You can hit an unopened bag of candy corn with a hammer to break them into smaller pieces and drop them into the milk shake.
