I had a litter of puppies that I didn't know what to do with. A couple of my friends wanted one, but I still had two left over and I had no room in my small house for any more pets! I read about Craigslist in a magazine and decided to check it out. I was amazed at what I found! Anything you could need or want is posted somewhere on this page. Somebody is selling it, somebody needs it, it's a win-win for everybody! There are even job postings and daycare postings and car postings.
I posted an ad for the pups that I had and could not believe the number of responses I got! Somebody came and got one the next day! A couple days later, the last one was gone! Of course, you have to make sure these are good people before you send your puppy away with them, but it's just like putting them in the newspaper.
I also posted an ad for my car when I was selling it. I got multiple responses for that too, although I ended up not being able to sell it until I put it in the newspaper.
One other really cool thing is, when I was looking for a preschool for my daughter, because she missed the cut-off age to go to public school, I found this place I had never heard of before. I emailed the lady and it turns out she was just starting her own preschool. So I took my daughter there to meet her and see the classroom and everything and enrolled her! Now she's been going for about 6 months and she absolutely loves it. The new preschool has been in the newspaper and the news and they are even remodeling a new building for next year! If it weren't for Craigslist I might have never found this wonderful place for my child to learn and meet new friends!
I also love to look in the "free" section. Most of the stuff in that section is junk, of course, but you can find some things you might need in there if you just look!
The only problem I have had is that it seems every time I respond to an ad, whatever it is that I am interested in is already gone! I have been disappointed many times that way. But at least you know if you want to sell something you can get the job done on Craigslist and can pretty much find anything you need here as well!
