Crank: A Fast Paced Movie Starring Jason Stratham

Crank is a fast paced movie starring the sexy British actor Jason Statham, who also starred in Transporter and Transporter 2. In Crank, Jason plays a hitman named Chev Chelios that has been double crossed by his "boss" and another criminal because of a hit gone wrong. The main character decided to quit the business, therefore, letting his mark escape. This action caused the higher ups to decide to just get rid of Chev.

The plot of Crank is that Chev has been injected with a Chinese drug that is suppose to cause his death within one hour. While Chev is rushing around trying to figure out what he should do and how to get revenge on his attackers, he unexpectantly realizes that every rush of adrenaline helps slow down the drug's effects on his body.

After that realization, the movie shifts into speed mode. Chev begins his rampage of excitement and destruction through Los Angeles in order to stay alive and reap his revenge on his assailants. Anything that can cause an adrenaline rush is fair game for Chev. Including robbery, high speed police chases, drugs, sex and even a heart defibulator.

Crank is rated R and for good reason. My husband and I enjoyed this movie very much but it definitely is NOT a movie to have young people watching. Crank has a lot of cursing, extreme violence and, of course, sex.

Also starring in Crank are Dwight Yoakam as Chev's Doctor Miles, Amy Smart as Chev's girlfriend, Eve and Jose Pablo Cantillo as Chev's enemy, Verona.
