Crash Commando Review (PS3)

S.R.
Crash Commando is an Action video game released on the Playstation 3 and developed by Epos. I feel it's one of the more underrated titles available on the Playstation 3, and I will go over why.

Story : There is no story here, it is purely an action game. However, you could pretend you are apart of some military or something. Perhaps the manual comes with a story or something, I've never read it.

Graphics : The graphics are really cool. This game is two dimensional at heart, which I feel is vastly more playable than three dimensional in most situation. The style in this game is great. Everything is drawn and animated very well. The main vehicle looks great and has a multitude of animated actions. The backgrounds also look splendid.

Sound : The sounds are all great here. Musically the game is ambient but still very good. Sound effects are all very good, especially when you kick your vehicle into high gear. Everything comes together into one package very well. Overall, I'd say the sound is just a little bit above average compared to other video games.

Game play : This game is one of the best multi player games ever made. First, let us talk about the controls. They're accurate, sensitive, and really smooth. This is important as you need every degree of control possible when you playing against other people. The game has no learning curve, you can learn to play and have fun very quickly. The selection of weapons in this game is simply mind boggling. Each weapon has it's own use and even it's own play style. All can be equally good as well, meaning if you're the type to run in with guns blazing you can do just as good as the careful player who wants to snipe everybody.

There's all sorts of interesting power ups in this game, which can completely change the course of each individual based upon the player. The jet pack remains my personal favorite to use, giving the game a whole new dimension in fun and exploration.

Re playability : This game is absurdly re playable, the multi player never gets old and each game can turn out entirely different than the game before it. If you can manage to play with another person in person, you'll have a hard time forcing yourself to stop playing.

Overall: 8/10. Nothing original here, but a very solid game and a really excellent multi player game.
