Crayon Physics Deluxe: Drawing, Puzzles, Physics, and More!

If you thought you were too old to play with crayons, you may be wrong - especially if you are into the casual gaming on the PC. Although the use of actual crayons aren't required, imagination and logic are. Crayon Physics Deluxe is a game that appeared on the casual gaming scene a not long ago, and gamers will agree, it is a fun and unique casual game worthy to revisit, and fresh to play time and time again.

So what's the game all about? In short, by using a virtual crayon, gamers can draw variety of shapes including circles, squares, lines and triangles in a 2 dimensional world in order to reach the destination in a level (a gold star) with a primary object (a red ball). All of the shapes that are drawn on screen will become artistic objects that will adapt and take on realistic physics (such as a circle rolling on a surface like a ball, and other things like pivots, ramps, and more). Gamers will find both fun and a challenge in being sure to place shapes in a strategic formation in effort to get the red ball to reach the gold star. For example, for a star that is located on a platform lower than the starting point in a level, gamers may draw a line that acts as a ramp for the red ball to roll down on.

The game is extremely creative in its approach to gameplay. Not only is the concept of drawing with crayons cute, but the visuals are brilliant and charming. Subtle animations in drawings bring the art to life in a very childlike, yet effective way. This combined with the fact that the level screens and menus are set out to look like and simulate a drawing environment (paper and all) give the title an overall warm and fuzzy look.

In addition to great visuals,a lot of the in game magic happens with the game's physics engine. The game quite realistically features weight, inertia, gravity, and more. The behavior objects adapt once drawn are fantastic and life-like. What also makes gameplay great is the fact that, when drawing a solution, you never quite know what the result will be. Is an object too heavy? Will it roll far enough? These are the questions gamers will find themselves asking - well, themselves when searching for a levels solution

70 different levels await gamers, many which can require some very clever drawing.

Crayon Physics Deluxe is available online as a downloadable demo and for purchase for the Windows based PC from Kloonigames.com
