Crazy Celebrity Baby Names

Deciding on a name for your new baby is always fun and exciting, as well as important because a person's name is something they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. It is often a difficult choice to make with so many names to choose from, as well as sifting through the suggestions and comments from family and friends.

If you are considering using one of the celeb's trend setting baby names for your own bundle of joy, think again! Parents beware; the new celebrity baby names are less than esteemed or appealing! With names like Camera, Coco, Fifi Trixiebelle and Tiger Lily hitting the scenes, I suggest you stick to the traditional resources to name your baby; but If you like the outlandish and peculiar, and really want to scar your child for life, then try starting your own trend by naming your children after kitchen utensils, like Spatula or Ladle maybe?

The following is a short list of some of the most ridiculous and "what were they thinking" baby names and the parents that bestowed such prestigious titles on their precious new arrivals.

The first is one of my personal favorites, Moxie Crimefighter (a daughter) and her Parents are Penn Jillette a Comedian (go figure, you'd have to be!) and Emily Jillette a magician. The poor girl didn't have a chance!

Then there is the musician John Cougar Mellencamp and Elaine Irwin with their sons Hud & Spec Wildhorse Mellencamp. Godspeed to those boys!
Another musician with her fancy baby names is Erykah Badu and Andre Benjamin and their son Seven Sirius (I wonder if the satellite radio thingy played a part here?) Next was Erykah and Tracy Curry's daughter Puma. I wonder if having a name like that will make her naturally athletic? Or better yet, the obvious choice for future Puma advertisements! That was planning ahead Erykah.

In the category of musicians, try on Denim Cole and Diezel Ky, The sons of Toni Braxton and Keri Lewis or Roger Taylor's kids, Rufus Tiger (son), Tiger Lily (daughter) and Lola Daisy (daughter). Last but not least in the musician category, I am starting to see a trend here, are Frank & Gail Zappa's four children, Dweezil (son), Ahmet Emuukha Rodan (son), Moon Unit (daughter) and the baby of the family, Diva Muffin (daughter).

Here are a few prominent actors that have joined the ranks of the "So shamelessly bored club" that they had to see if they could out do the other creative minds in the baby naming category. First there is the handsome Richard Gere and his partner Carey Lowell with their son Homer James Jigme. I think Richard could have done better than that! Then there is the Dashing Nicholas Cage and partner Alice Kim with their son Kal-el. Kal-el is Superman's birth name, I thought good ole Nick was an Elvis Presley fan, the turncoat!!! Becoming old news now but no doubt some of the founders of the "Ludicrous baby name foundation for the rich and bored" and two of the first to dub their children with some whoppers for names are Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's three girls, Rumer Glenn, Scout LaRue and my favorite Tallulah Belle, this girl is so lucky her parents are filthy rich, otherwise with a name like Tallulah Belle the ridicule of her peers would have driven her to suicide!

Moving on to some of the more famous and paparazzi attracting parents; we have Tom Kat Cruise and his little woman Katie Holmes with their adorable little daughter Suri, wow I never saw that coming! Of coarse let's not forget Courtney Cox and David Arquette's sweet daughter Coco Riley Arquette, and what about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's 10 month old daughter Shiloh Nouvel. There is also the enchanting Gwyneth Paltrow and her children, Apple (daughter) and Moses (son). Last but not least the Glamour girl with the legs, Julia Roberts and her twins, Phinnaeus and Hazel. I mean seriously, we should have known when Julia married Lyle Lovett in June 1993 she wasn't the type to care about public impressions! With that said we shouldn't have been surprised when she threw those ancestral baby names at us! You go Girl!

A few more rib ticklers areRachel Griffiths' son Banjo or Lance Henriksen's daughter Alcamy. The list goes on and on, there is Shannyn Sossamon's son Audio Science, try wearing that one for a lifetime! Or Robert Rodriguez (Director) and his five award winners, Rocket Valentin (son), Racer Maximilliano (son), Rebel Antonio (son), Rogue (son) and Rhiannon (daughter). I think Stevie Nicks did a song called "Rhiannon".

Another one worth honorable mention is David "Puck" Rainey and wife Betty's boys, Bogart Che Peyote & Rocco Kokopelli. I think ole Puck was hittin the peyote himself when he thought of those. Kokopelli is the name of a prehistoric fertility deity that was said to preside over childbirth and agriculture; he was most often depicted as a humpbacked flute player.

Here is a repeat offender, Paula Yates (a British TV. host) and the two men that fathered children with her, Bob Geldof and Michael Hutchence. Paula and Bob's three daughters; Fifi Trixiebelle, Peaches Honeyblossom & Little Pixie, the poor dears! Wait, there's one more precious little angel to add, her fourth daughter with Michael, Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily!!! Well you have to admit that woman is persistently creative if nothing else. Paula died on September 17^th 2000 due to a drug overdose. That sheds a little insight on those names.

Just to throw in a couple more before wrapping this name circus up, there is Barbara Hershey and David Carradine's son Free, Kate Hudson's little boy Ryder Russell, Helen Hunt's Daughter Makena'lei Gordon Carnahan, Jamie Oliver's (Chef) two daughters, Poppy Honey & Daisy Boo. Finally Sylvester "Sly" Stallone's kids, Sage Moonblood (daughter), Seargeoh (son), Sophia Rose (daughter), Sistine Rose (daughter) and Scarlet Rose. I think he liked the name Rose.

So I say to all the expecting parents, remember your children will carry these names for a lifetime so be gentle.
