Crazy Drivers!

Katie Sharp-Dierks
My boyfriend recently started a driving job. Some of the things he sees other drivers doing are so amusing, I just had to share them! We all have to deal with crazy drivers around us, so I hope these will make you smile and be glad that they aren't the one in the car next to you.

Crazy Driver #1

A woman is driving on the freeway at 60 miles an hour while eating pretzels. Not so crazy? She picks up one pretzel at a time, studying each side of it. She looks at the pretzel so long that she might even be counting the salt grains. After about five minutes of examining this pretzel, she seems satisfied that it is indeed a pretzel and eats it. She picks up another pretzel, and the examination begins anew. The fact that this woman was studying the pretzel is weird enough, but on the freeway?

Crazy Driver #2

Another woman appears to be driving with only one leg and steering with an elbow. Why? She has her other leg up across the steering wheel and is using her hands to pick at her toes. Really? Picking at your toes in traffic? Isn't that the kind of thing you should do in the privacy of your home? It appears some people believe their car is a moving piece of privacy; that no one is able to penetrate the glass windows and see inside!

Crazy Driver #3

Then there is the man who must want to disprove the fact that large trucks can't stop on a dime. Pulling out right in front of anyone and hitting the brakes is asking for an accident, but doing so in front of a big truck is almost a death wish! Does he drive this way with his mother in the car? I doubt it.

Crazy Driver #4

Finally, there are those who drive while reading. How is this even possible? I can't even walk and read! I tried it once. I ended up walking into a sign! Reading is an activity best done curled up on the couch with a warm blanket and no distractions.

Drive safely; you never know what the people in the car next to you will be doing!

Doesn't everyone thoroughly examine their food before they eat it? Just think if she had some dip to go along with those pretzels!

I totally agree! Crazy drivers seem to becoming more prevalent! I actually am not afraid of driving in bad weather. I'm afraid of being on the road with crazy drivers during bad weather!

I only pick at my toes in restaurants. The nerve of some people... ;-)
