Create a Beach Cupcake Tree Centerpiece

Get some family and friends gathered to make cupcakes and ice them a couple of days right before the wedding. If you cover them well, they will keep and be delicious for your wedding reception. SUPPLIES NEEDED:

You will need a few things to get started. First, you will need a lot of cupcake mix to make your cupcakes. You will also need a lot of icing to ice the cupcakes with. Get white icing and use food coloring to make it the color that you want, or you could simply buy colored icing, if you can find the right color to match the colors of your wedding. You could even simply make some of the cupcakes white. Choose two colors for your icing.

Next, you may be able to find a beach themed cupcake decorating kit or you should try to find little cupcake picks, with starfish and seashells on the tops of them that will stick down into the top of the cupcakes for cute little beach decorations. You will also need a cupcake tree, this is simply a plastic display piece that looks like a tree and holds cupcakes on the limbs. You will need a cupcake tree for each centerpiece that you will be using, keeping in mind that you will have to fill all of the vacant spots with cupcakes on the tree. You could also try to find some large seashells and starfish to fill in spots on the cupcake tree.

CREATE YOUR TREE:

To create your beach cupcake tree, first make and ice your cupcakes as desired. Next, you will decorate the cupcakes with a beach theme. Now you can simply place the cupcakes on the cupcake tree displays. You could put a cupcake and then a seashell and then another cupcake and then a starfish and continue in this order if you would like to really make it look festive and beachy.
