If you are getting married these days you are probably looking for frugal ways to create a beautiful wedding and reception for your big day. This idea is to use for the centerpieces at your wedding reception. It will be beautiful and elegant, yet easy on your wedding budget.

ITEMS YOU WILL NEED: First you will need about 6 to 8 small 2 inch glass votive candle holders per centerpiece. You could find these at about any craft store. Then you will need enough white votive candles to place in all of your votive holders. Next, you will need a large piece of fabric that will match your wedding colors. You could simply buy a large piece of scrap fabric from a craft store for this, which will make it cheaper, as long as you can find one that matches your wedding colors. You will also need some thin white ribbon and some 1 and 1/2 inch white ribbon.

CREATE YOUR VOTIVE CENTERPIECE: To start creating this beautiful votive centerpiece, you will need to cut piece of the fabric. First cut the fabric into 2 inch by 1/2 inch pieces. They should be 2 inches tall and a 1/2 inch wide. Once you have the strips cut, you will V the ends. Simply take your scissors and make a V shape at each end of each strip of ribbon that you cut, being careful not to take any length off of the strips. Next, you will place the pieces of ribbon down into half of your votive candles. Simply place the strips down inside around the outer edge of the votive holder all the way around. Then place a votive candle down in the center of the strips of fabric to hold the strips in place. This will make a unique and decorative looking votive candle. Next, you can tie a piece of your thin white ribbon around the votive holders that have the fabric inside of them.

Next, you can tie pieces of your 1 and 1/2 inch white ribbon around the votive candle holders that have no fabric in them and place votive candles inside of these votive holders.

Finally, you will be ready to place the votive holders on your reception tables. Simply place a votive holder with fabric in it, then place one without fabric with the large ribbon tied around it next to that, then place another with fabric and keep going back and forth placing these votive holders in a circular shape in the center of the table.

This will make for an elegant, classy and easy on the budget centerpiece. It will be very easy to make yourself as well, saving you even more money.
