Create Easter Eggs with a Swirl Design

Coloring Easter eggs is one of kids favorite things to do and adults as well, because it reminds us that the seasons are changing and brings a feeling of spring into the air. This time of year is wonderful to celebrate, we are all tired of the cold and warmly inviting the change of seasons. Here is how to design Easter eggs with swirly line designs on them.

ITEMS NEEDED:

First you will need eggs and an Easter egg coloring kit. Get the kind that you dip the eggs down into for this project. Next, you will need some large letter labels or large packaging tape. That's all you need to get started.

CREATE YOUR DESIGNED EGGS:

To start designing these eggs, first, hard boil the eggs so that they are ready for coloring. Next, you will dip the entire egg into a color that you want your lines to show up as on the egg. If you want the lines to be white, then do not dip the eggs first.

The next step is to cut the large letter labels or packaging tape into lines that have swirly designs. This is the fun part, especially for kids, because they can make their own creation with the labels or tape and no two eggs will be the same. They could cut the lines with square shapes or circle shapes or swirled shapes, they can just get creative with this step.

Once you have the labels or tape cut, simply place these swirly designs onto the egg where ever you want them. They could be right around the center of the egg or long ways on the egg; however you choose.

Finally, dip the egg a second time into a different color. Let the eggs set and dry well before removing the tape to see your final design.
