Create Fabric Easter Egg Cards

acole
This is a fun craft for Easter time that you can share with friends when you are done, because they are cards that you can hand out or mail. Kids would love helping to make these cards as well. Follow these steps to create these custom fabric cards.

ITEMS NEEDED:

You will need a large egg stencil, regular printing paper, card stock paper, double sided tape, a craft knife, and cutting mat. You will also need some decorative fabric, and maybe some pieces of lace if you want to make the cards look fancier. You will need some glue also.

CREATE THE CARDS:

First you will take your piece of card stock paper and fold it in half to make a card. Next, you will place your large egg stencil in the center of the front of the card and trace it. You can then use your craft knife and cut the stencil of the egg out of the paper, while you have your paper on top of the cutting mat, making sure not to cut any table surfaces. Next, you can cut a piece of fabric large enough to cover the egg stencil cutout that you made in the card. It doesn't have to be an egg shape it can simply be square.

Then you could take a piece of lace and glue it across the middle of the piece of fabric. Now place the piece of fabric inside of the card so that the side with the lace on it will show through the egg cutout in the front of the card. You can glue this down to the card or use the double sided tape to stick it in there.

Then when you close your card you will see the fabric egg from the front. Now you can take more lace and make a border aroudn the edge of the front of the card to make it look even fancier if you would like. Write a nice Easter letter or note inside of the card to whomever you are going to give the card to for Easter.
