A beautiful lemon lime centerpiece will be an eye catching piece for any party. This beautiful display of lemons and limes could be used for a birthday party or an anniversary party as well. Follow these simple steps to make a lemon lime centerpiece for your next occasion or party.

ITEMS NEEDED:

You will need a few items to get you started. First, get some lemons and limes from the fresh produce section at the store or your local farmers market. Only buy the fresh lemons and limes a few days in advance. You do not want them to go bad before your party. You will probably need at least 5 or 6 lemons and 5 or 6 limes per centerpiece that you will be making. Remember it's always better to have a little extra than not enough.

Next, you will need a tall hurricane glass vase with a lid for each lemon lime centerpiece that you will be making. You should try to find vases that are at least 10 to 12 inches tall and have a stem, so that they look like extra big wine glasses. You want the hurricane vases to be large; after all they will be displayed as centerpiece and need to be eye catching. You will also need distilled water for each centerpiece that you will be making.

MAKE YOUR LEMON LIME CENTERPIECE:

First, cut some of your lemons and limes into thin slices. You can leave some of the lemons and limes whole as well; it will give a fresher look to your lemon lime centerpiece.

Next, fill your hurricane vase with distilled water all the way up to about 2 inches from the top.

Now place your lemon and lime slices and whole lemons and limes into the water filled hurricane vase. Just lightly place them into the water, you want them to somewhat suspend themselves in the water. Once you have all of the lemons and limes in the water you can place your lid on top.

You could decorate the vase with a little yellow and green ribbon tied around the stem of the hurricane vase or a little vine wrapped around it if you would like. Or you can leave it as it, with no extra décor. It is a stunning lemon lime centerpiece either way. This would be an excellent centerpiece for a spring event, since it is so colorful.
