Create Your Own JavaScript Library with JavaScript Collector

Dee Jones
I love JavaScript.

JavaScript is one of the, if not the, easiest programming languages to use. All you need is the most basic knowledge of HTML to add a dynamic element (like a game, a form, or special effects) to your website in minutes.

JavaScript is also easy to learn. If you want a JavaScript to do something specific, but can't find one to suit your needs, you could probably learn all you need to know to make the JavaScript you need yourself. And all it would take is one of the great, free JavaScript tutorials you can find online, and a few hours.

So, JavaScript is great. But storing JavaScripts on your computer can be tough. Of course, instead of saving JavaScripts to your computer, you can always bookmark any useful JavaScripts you find. But that could lead to having a Favorites folder stuffed with links to JavaScripts.

And what do you do with any JavaScripts you create yourself?

JavaScript Collector might be the solution you need.

What Is JavaScript Collector?

JavaScript Collector is a freeware program that comes with over 200 ready-to-use JavaScripts. So, when you need a new JavaScript for a specific task, searching dozens of different JavaScript sites for what you need might no longer be necessary, because what you need might already be in the JavaScript Collector database.

The more than 200 JavaScripts that come with JavaScript Collector are divided into categories. Some of them are:

* Background Effects

* Calculators

* Date and Time

* Email Scripts

* Games

* Image Effects

* Link Effects

* Mouse Effects

* Navigation

* Redirection

* Scrollers

* Text Effects

* Tools & Utilities

With that many JavaScripts, it would seem like you would ever need any more. But, if you do, JavaScript can handle that too.

Adding JavaScripts to JavaScript Library

There are lots of free JavaScript collections out there. In fact, I have several. But, with most of these programs, you can't add more JavaScripts.

With JavaScript Collector, that isn't a problem. If you find a handy JavaScript that isn't already in the JavaScript Collector database, you can add it. If you create your own JavaScripts, you can add them to JavaScript Collector, too.

You can also create new categories for your JavaScripts. That way, you can keep JavaScripts you're adding yourself separate from the ones that came with the program.

If you like JavaScript as much as I do, JavaScript Collector is a must have freeware program.
