U Paint It Pottery is a fun and creative place to enjoy paint-it-yourself ceramics at an affordable price. The studio is a perfect location for a fun afternoon with the kids or friends, some alone time, parties, bridal and baby showers, organization gatherings or any other occasion you can think of. Walk-ins are welcome as reservations are not necessary unless you want to ensure an available table for your painting experience. Reservations are encouraged for large groups or events.

I have visited U Paint It numerous times with friends and have been satisfied every time. The owners, Penny and Valerie, as well as the staff members will make you feel at home and do their best to help in any way possible. They will answer any questions you may have and present a demonstration on properly painting ceramics for first-timers. The tables are spacious and comfortable, which I feel is important when you are focusing on painting a piece for an hour or longer. The studio is clean and neatly organized for easy access to all supplies or ceramics. The studio has always had a great selection of ceramic pieces that changes every couple months, which is wonderful for the repeat customers.

How It Works
You can browse the rows of shelving filled with a large inventory of blank ceramic pieces ready to paint. You can select just one or several pieces to paint while at the studio. I suggest selecting just one piece for your very first time, as you may take longer to finish than more experienced painters.

Select your paint colors and materials which include stamps, stencils, sponges, brushes, and a book idea to help you create the perfect piece.

Enjoy your experience by designing and painting your ceramic piece, which typically takes an hour. Popular items for children to paint are animals and adults are plates, bowls, mugs, and jewelry boxes. My all time favorite piece to paint are plates with children's handprints.

You will turn in your pieces when done to be glazed and fired. This takes approximately 5 to 7 business days. A phone call will be made to a number you provide notifying your personal masterpiece and keepsake is ready for pickup.

Pricing
The studio fee covers your time while painting, necessary supplies such as; paint, stamps, stencils, sponges, brushes, and book ideas, as well as the glazing and firing of your ceramic piece(s). Adults paint for just $8.00 while kids under the age of twelve are only $6.00.

Additional fees include the price of each ceramic piece selected to paint. Ceramic pieces range in price from $3.00 and up, depending on size and difficulty.

Locations & Hours of Operation
U Paint It is located in College Station at 900 Harvey Road in Post Oak Village. The studio is open for 6 days out of the week, as they are closed on Mondays. They are open from 11am to 9pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Wednesdays are from 10am to 10pm and Sundays are 2pm to 6pm.

I think U Paint It is a great place to relax or take your children for some painting fun. I definitely think the personal keepsakes are wonderful as gifts, especially for parents or grandparents. I know my family has always enjoyed receiving the ceramic pieces as a Mother's or Father's Day gift. I suggest visiting on Wednesdays for half-price studio fee day. Adults will only pay $4 and children will only pay $3 to paint.
