TROPCAL FLOWERS: If you dress has some flowers on it, you could replace them with some bright colored tropical flowers. If the dress doesn't have any flowers you could simply attach a faux tropical flower, that matches your wedding colors to the top left or right side of the dress. You could also add a tropical flower to the waist band on the right or left in the front or in the center in the back for a unique touch.
TROPICAL FABRIC: Find some sparkly sheer fabric that matches the colors of your wedding at a craft or fabric store. Go under the bottom of the dress and attach the tropical fabric evenly all the way around on the inside, leaving the fabric hanging out from under the dress about 2 or 3 inches. This will give your dress a simple added touch of color at the very bottom that will match your wedding colors. This would work especially well for the tropical length (see below).
TROPICAL COLOR: Another way of giving your wedding dress a touch of tropical color is by dying the bottom of it. Do a fading dye about 3 to 5 inches up the bottom of the dress in a color that matches your wedding color. This is a very daring look and should not be attempted by the faint of heart. Once this is done, your dress will never be the same again, so make sure you really want to do this before diving it.
TROPICAL SHOES: To add a simple touch of tropical color to match your wedding you could simply slip on a pair of brightly colored high heels that match your wedding colors. You could even choose a pair of sparkly shoes and dye them to match your wedding color. Remember you can always get another pair of shoes if you do not like the look.
TROPICAL LENGTH: One more step that you may want to take to create a tropical look for your wedding dress is having it altered. You could have the bottom of the dress cut off to right below the knee. You could make it one solid length all the way around or have it be a sloping cut. For example, cut it up to just below the knee in the front and have it slope down to just above the ankle in the back for a dramatic, yet gorgeous look. It would be wise to have a professional seamstress, who works on wedding dresses do this for you. Then you could also have the seamstress add the "tropical fabric" (see above) at this point, if you wish.
